Taylor Trainor
Clinician

I am a recent graduate with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor's in Psychology, Human Development, and Health Science.

I am deeply passionate about helping clients navigate trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, family systems, identity, and empowerment. I approach therapy from a relational/attachment-informed lens. I believe that exploring the stories that shape your life and relationships-especially the one you have with yourself, can be a catalyst for healing. In sessions, I incorporate elements from a variety of approaches including mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, narrative therapy, IFS, ACT, and DBT.

I enjoy bringing a creative flair to counseling-whether it be incorporating art, music, poetry, or other forms of creative expression into sessions to offer a unique and authentic space for self-exploration and healing.

For me, therapy is a collaborative journey where clients can feel empowered to rewrite their stories, explore new perspectives and skills, and uncover their inner strengths. With a warm, supportive approach, I strive to meet each client where they are and encourage deep exploration of the inner self while offering practical skills for emotional resilience and healthier connections.

What inspired you to become a therapist?

I was inspired to become a therapist by a deep desire to combat the stigma surrounding mental health, which I saw affecting so many lives, including my own. I understood the courage it takes to seek help and the profound impact that support can have on healing. It’s an honor to walk alongside clients on their unique journeys towards growth, healing, and self-love.
